This year seasonal flu and H1N1 flu will be combined in one vaccine. Anyone under the age of 10 will need 2 doses of the vaccine this year if they have not had 2 previous H1N1 and 2 seasonal flu vaccines in the past.
We have ordered flu vaccine and expect to receive it in September. Watch this site daily for updates.
Please call us at 675-5555 to schedule your appointment to receive the flu vaccine.

Dr Offit's Flu Vaccine Opinion
H1N1-09 (swine flu) typical symptoms include sudden onset of fever, tight cough, muscle aches, headache, runny nose & runny eyes.
Tamiflu can be helpful to treat H1N1-09, but most healthy people recover with no medicine. People should stay home from work or school until they have had no fever for 24 hours with no fever treatment (acetaminophen or ibuprofen) and until they are feeling better.
People who should take Tamiflu for H1N1-09 disease include: people sick enough to require hospitalization, children under age 2, adults over age 65, women who are pregnant, people on long term aspirin therapy, people on long term immunosupporession (systemic steroids or chemotherapy) and people with serious chronic diseases. Call our office if you have more questions.
